Hello, everyone! My name is Jenna Berry-Hammerl (though I go by Mrs. Berry)! I am so excited to be teaching here at the very school I attended when I was a a child, all the way from kindergarten through 6th grade! Ever since I knew I wanted to be a teacher, I dreamed of teaching at Lopez. There's nowhere else I'd rather be!
I graduated from Colorado State University with my Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology in December 2012. After, I spent a year in Hamburg, Germany as an Au Pair to a wonderful family. My experience with the children inspired me to get into teaching! I attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with my Masters of Education in Elementary Education in August of 2019. I taught 5th grade for three years in Evans before making the transition to Technology and Media Specialist at Lopez.
I love to read, hike, go to sports games (ESPECIALLY the Denver Nuggets), travel, take care of my houseplants, and spend time with my family! I have been married since July 2019 to my sweet husband, Michael. We have three very spoiled children - our cats Mowgli and Chonks, and our baby boy Calvin, born July 2024!
My classroom is dedicated to nurturing a generation of digital age learners who uphold the 8 Habits through the use of technology.
