NWEA MAP Testing
Throughout the Poudre School District, 2nd-5th grade students are tested on both Math and Reading on NWEA's MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) tests 3 times per year (Fall, Winter, and Spring). You can help your student prepare for this testing! Here are a couple helpful websites:
- Math MAP Practice by RIT Score
- Contact your student's classroom teacher if you need to know your student's RIT scores
Colorado Measures of Academic Success testing occurs every spring for 3rd-5th graders. Students will take a Language Arts and Mathematics assessment, and 5th graders take a Science assessment. Are you interested in learning more, or maybe even trying out some sample questions? You can access CMAS resources online.
Math Parent Toolkit
The math toolkit is designed to support parents in understanding the mathematics progression in Poudre School District and the Colorado Academic Standards. It can be used as a reference for helping your child with their homework and seeking additional resources. Please recall that your child's teacher is the number one resource for what your child is learning and the means of instruction in the classroom. The toolkit has 5 sections; Grade Level Overview, Homework Assistance, Online Resources, Standards, and Theory and Research.
Does your student have homework questions, but you can't quite remember the concept to help? Brainfuse offers live homework help, tutoring, study skills, writing help, flash cards, and more for free. You will need a Poudre River Library District card number to access this site, but it is available starting at 3:00pm, until late at night.
