A Leader in Me School

Emma Stolte

3rd Grade Teacher

Hello everyone! My name is Emma Stolte and I am thrilled to be part of the Lopez community! I have lived in Fort Collins for most of my life and I even went to school in PSD from 3rd grade through high school. I was born in Iowa and then lived in Minnesota for a few years, but I am so thankful to have spent my time growing up in Colorado.

Educational and Professional Background

I graduated in May of 2021 from the University of Northern Colorado with my degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in teaching English as a second language. I loved going to UNC so much that I started graduate school there one week after I graduated! I am currently working on a master's degree in Special Education. I have always had a passion for working with kids and impacting their education in a positive way. One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching students have "lightbulb moments" when concepts click. These moments are so exciting!

Personal Interests and Hobbies

I really love spending time with my family and their dogs. I also enjoy baking, drinking coffee, shopping, reading, and I have recently learned to love kayaking! In the summer, I also enjoy traveling. This summer I went to Utah for the first time ever!

About My Classroom

I really value equity and inclusion in my classroom. One of my main priorities as a teacher is to ensure the safety and comfort of ALL of the learners who enter the room. I value strong relationships, communication, and collaboration. We will work to have a positive community where every voice is heard and every learner is valued. Every student is unique in their own way, and that is what makes our classroom so powerful!
