Welcome to Second Grade !

The Second Grade Team!

 

In 2nd grade at Lopez, we work hard to develop the 8 habits of happy, healthy, and highly effective kids. Each day we strive to transition from learning to read to reading to learn while enhancing 21st century skills.  We explore mathmatical practices and are problem solvers. Additionally, we learn about our community, its grand history, and how that history impacts today. We explore habitats, matter, water, and more. Our annual highlights include Pioneer Day, a visit to Auntie Stone's cabin and an old school house, a trip to the Butterfly Pavilion, and our leadership expo: Live @ Lopez.
