I have "found my voice" in teaching first or second grade since 2001. I began teaching second grade in the Denver area then tried first grade and taught in Brazil for two years. When my wife and I returned, I continued teaching first grade in Cheyenne, WY. Since, Colorado is my home, we returned in 2015 and I have been teaching first and second grade at Lopez ever since.
I graduated from Metro Denver and have earned my ESL endorsement through Regis University. My other most valuable trainings have been CLIP (Reading Recovery), Quantum Learning (learning about how the brain learns) and now, our 7 Habits training.
Besides sparking and fostering the love of learning in my own boys and students, I enjoy playing guitar, rock climbing, hiking and spending family time outdoors.
We sing, work hard, play hard, listen to each other, help each other, and have fun.
