A Leader in Me School

3rd Grade Teacher
Educational and Professional Background

I grew up in Windsor and attended Windsor High School before continuing my education at the University of Northern Colorado, where I graduated with my degree in Early Childhood Special Education and  attained separate endorsements in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Elementary Special Education. Upon graduation in 2017, I taught early childhood special education here at Lopez Elementary, later went on an adventure and taught 1st grade in Seattle for a couple of years, and then returned to Lopez Elementary where I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade! My love for special education and Leader in Me has only grown and I look forward to teaching all my students about inclusion and leadership as we navigate through 3rd grade together!

Personal Interests and Hobbies

When I am not at Lopez, I love being an auntie and spending time with my puppy! I have a 3-year-old nephew, a 1-year-old niece, and have another niece due this October-they all live close by and are with me a lot.  My puppy is a two year old Corgi named Ziggy who you'll often find me walking, at a dog park, or at a brewery with. When I am not with family, Ziggy, or at school, I also enjoy spending time with friends, paddle-boarding, binge watching a good show, finding a fun happy hour, or working in the yard! A few of my favorites are Target, Noodles & Company, the Human Bean, Amazon, colorful pens, and beef jerky!
