I love being with friends and family and spending time outdoors as well as being crafty and working in my backyard garden. I grew up in Minnesota and still enjoy visiting friends and family every summer and holiday season. My husband is an elementary counselor and my two sons attend Lopez.
I graduated high school in 2000 from Northfield High School. I then attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where I graduated in 2004 with a bachelor of arts degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities. In 2005 I started my teaching career in North St Paul where I taught in a special education Kindergarten classroom and a multicategorical special education program for 2 years before moving to Fort Collins in 2006 where I have taught for 16 years (2006 - 2022) at Laurel Elementary including 3 years in Special Education and 13 years in Kindergarten.
My family enjoys being outdoors including hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time at MN lakes!
I enjoy spending my days teaching and learning aside my students as we all strive to be better individuals that form a strong community together where everyone can learn, have fun, and be successful!
