A Leader in Me School

3rd Grade Teacher
Educational and Professional Background

I grew up in Windsor and attended Windsor High School before continuing my education at the University of Northern Colorado, where I graduated with my degree in Early Childhood Special Education and  attained separate endorsements in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Elementary Special Education. Upon graduation, I taught early childhood special education here at Lopez Elementary, later went on an adventure and taught 1st grade in Seattle for a couple of years, and then returned to Lopez Elementary where I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade! My love for special education and Leader in Me has only grown and I look forward to teaching all my students about inclusion and leadership as we navigate through 3rd grade together!

Personal Interests and Hobbies

When I am not at Lopez, I love being an auntie and spending time with my puppy! I have 1 nephew and 2 nieces that live close by and are with me a lot.  I am often out for a walk or at the dog park with my Corgi, Ziggy! When I am not with family, Ziggy, or at school, I also enjoy spending time with friends, paddle-boarding, binge watching a good show, finding a fun happy hour, or working in the yard! A few of my favorites are Target, Noodles & Company, the Human Bean, Amazon, colorful pens, and beef jerky!
