Enrichment Opportunities

Student Lighthouse

The student lighthouse team is a group of student representing out school who synergize to have a postive impact on students, staff, families, and the community. Student Lighthouse is open to 3rd-5th graders. Students apply in the fall and meet one time a month after school.

Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program in which participants read 6 books over the course of 4-5 months together. The program culminates in a battle in which groups compete to identify facts about the books read. The winning team from each grade will move on to the district battle. Battle of the Books is open for 3rd-5th grade students.

Blooming Girls

Blooming Girls provides a safe and inspiring environment for girls aged 5-12 years old, where they can develop the life skills need to reach their highest potential. Monthly classes focus on the following format- Opening and closing circle, group discussion on the topic of the month, picture books, games, activities, and making a creative art project.

BStrong BFit

The program in northern Colorado helps nurture girls’ growth by centering on health, self-esteem and camaraderie. It is more than just an after-school running club; it is a journey toward holistic well-being. BstrongBfit is an eight-week program providing northern Colorado school districts with 16 evidence-informed lessons about fitness and mental health, with a spotlight on wellness. UCHealth provides the curriculum, materials and coaches’ training and oversees the organization of a 2-mile race at the end of the eight weeks. BStrong BFit is open to 4th and 5th grade students.

Lego League/ Robotics

LEGO® League introduces STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences through a guided, global robotics program using LEGO® technology, helping today’s students, families, and educators build a better future together. There is a Lego Festival in the spring to celebrate student creations. Lego League is open to students in grades K-5.

Martial Arts

Traditional Okinawan martial arts teaching self awareness, physical fitness, and self defense. Martial arts is open to grades K-5th.
