A Leader in Me School

Fifth Grade

Welcome to Fifth Grade at Lopez!

Fifth grade rocks! This is an exciting year where students step into their role as leaders of the school while preparing for the important transition to middle school. We focus on building independence, responsibility, and confidence β€” all while continuing to grow academically and socially.

One of the most anticipated experiences in fifth grade is EcoWeek! Students spend two nights at CSU Mountain Campus, where they face challenges, learn about nature, and strengthen relationships with classmates and staff. It’s an unforgettable adventure that builds teamwork and resilience.

Other Highlights of Fifth Grade:

  • πŸ† WIN (What I Need) time for personalized learning
  • 🐝 Spelling Bee
  • 🎭 Clubs and leadership opportunities
  • 🌱 Field Day Service Project, where 5th graders run all stations
  • 🧠 Human Growth and Development unit
  • πŸŽ“ Promotion Ceremony to celebrate success and achievements

Our fifth-grade curriculum is rich and engaging across all subject areas, ensuring students are ready for the next chapter of their educational journey. We can’t wait to make this year meaningful and memorable for your child!
