I love being with friends and family and spending time outdoors as well as reading. I grew up in Minnesota and still enjoy visiting friends and family every summer and holiday season. My husband is the district 504 compliance specialist my , my youngest son attends Lopez, and my oldest son attends Webber Middle School.
I graduated high school in 2000 from Northfield High School. I then attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where I graduated in 2004 with a bachelor of arts degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities. In 2005 I started my teaching career in North St Paul where I taught in a special education Kindergarten classroom and a multicategorical special education program for 2 years before moving to Fort Collins in 2006 where I taught for 16 years (2006 - 2022) at Laurel Elementary including 3 years in Special Education and 13 years in Kindergarten and have been teaching Kindergarten at Lopez since 2022.
My family enjoys going to sporting events, watching movies, and being outdoors including hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time at MN lakes!
I enjoy spending my days teaching and learning aside my students as we all strive to be better individuals that form a strong community together where everyone can learn, have fun, and be successful!
