EL Education- Literacy

Beginning in the 2023–24 school year, Poudre School District adopted Imagine Learning EL Education K–5 as the core literacy curriculum for most elementary schools. This curriculum is designed to support strong foundational reading skills, promote deep engagement with high-quality texts, and build knowledge through reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Key Features of EL Education K–5:

  • Hands-on, multi-sensory learning experiences
  • Evidence-based instructional practices
  • Diverse, high-quality texts that reflect student backgrounds
  • Systematic development of literacy skills across all grade levels

This curriculum adoption reflects PSD’s commitment to equitable, rigorous literacy instruction and was shaped by extensive community feedback and collaboration among educators, families, and curriculum experts.
