The STEM Lab at Lopez Elementary School is designed to introduce and develop students’ 21st century skills and STEM content knowledge through a guided framework of creative and relevant student projects. Inquiry-based learning is fostered through the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The STEM program at Lopez provides collaborative experiences and expects students to apply skills in unexpected situations. STEM in elementary schools provides benefits to all students, at all levels of ability, creating a truly inclusive and effective educational opportunity.

Our STEM program provides the following benefits: · The teaching methods are inquiry-based, process-focused and student-centered.

· Teamwork, collaboration and communication are a major focus in the program.

· Students have the freedom to thinking critically, creatively and to innovative.
